Werewolves are, contrary to popular superstition, not Men at all. In their primary form they resemble Men very closely. Under a full moon, they transform to the shape of great, fearsome wolves, larger than natural wolves, with specially long fangs and quicker eyes and ears than natural wolves. They can take this shape under any moon, though they cannot during daylight or during the dark of the moon. Under a full moon, however, they have no choice and become more bloodthirsty than at any other time. They crave blood and the rush of killing, and are brutal hunters. Werewolves can be made - Men who are bitten by werewolves on the night of a full moon - but these will not be quite as strong or large as natural wereolves. They can be killed by having their heads cut off and burnt, or by any deep cut that touches silver. The wound must be deep enough for the silver to poison their bloodstream. Werewolves are innately evil, though, like Vampires, there have been instances of a werewolf being, like a Man, neither innately Light nor Dark. Werewolves are not immortal and live about twice the lifespan of a Man, for the greater part of which they appear in both forms to be young and in their prime - like Men in their 20s or early 30s - and in the last two decads, usually, they age rapidly. a photo of a male werewolfdrawn by Hibbary on deviantart
