Animagus are Men who for some unknown reason have the ability to change their form to that of an animal. An animagus has only one "familiar" animal into which they can transform - common familiars are canines, felines, rodents, or occasional birds. Animagus, being Men, are inherently neither Dark nor Light, and make their own choices from the mixture within them.
