Guilds

There are three guilds so far - we may add more at some point but that is all up for debate. The Guilds are rather like clans or packs. Each Guild has a master (or mistress) who rules in whatever fashion seems right. In Darkrowan, for example, the Guildmaster is a dictator, whereas in Silvershadow there are Elders who advise the master. In character bios, you must put your Guild status - typically there will be master and whatever form of government officials the Guild has. There are also warriors, defined by what sort of weapon they use - typically defined as swords and bows, as those are the usual ranks of warriors. There are also healers, runners - they are swift on foot and horseback and carry messages - apprentices - young ones learning a trade or learning to fight - tradesmen - these are Guild members who are not warriors and have no part in the Guild's government - and children - those too young to be apprenticed. Any member too old to fight or carry their trade is called gaffer or gammer.
There are no entrance rites to Guilds for the simple reason that members are born in. (I mean, besides the part where we make bios for them and pick Guilds....) If your character has kids, they are in that Guild; just to clear things up. Rangers or loners may request to join a Guild and be accepted or rejected or given a trial period at the discretion of the Guildmaster.
